  The immigration section of this international airport is quite small, customs is in the same area as well. I was hoping to do some duty free shopping before getting to the customs section like I do in other international airports but there was no duty free shopping in the arrival section.

  I've had better experiences for sure...but that also could have just been Spirit Airways service.

  This airport is the epitome of operating on “island time.” We were flying with Seaborne and we showed up one hour in advance as was recommended to us by our resort. We were third in line behind a large family at the counter in front of all of us. Each group or individual seemed to take forever to ticket and process. We waited for 25 minutes before we were helped. After we were ticketed and process we went through TSA. I was pulled out and requested to search my toiletries bag. They disliked my contact solution bottle so I had to throw it away. After TSA my name was called on the loud speaker and TSA advised me that they wanted to search my checked bag because it was rejected by their system. I was third in line to get my bag checked. After waiting 15 minutes, a TSA woman finally searched my bag. I was not allowed to bring home my husband’s foot spray or bug spray. I find it funny that I was able to bring them into the country but I was not allowed to leave with them. Either way, I did not mind that I had to throw them away in order to fly. I appreciate that everyone was just doing their job. Overall, my only suggestion to future travelers is to ensure you have plenty of time to maneuver between ticketing, security and boarding. Also, be on the lookout for chickens and cats roaming through the airport!
